Tomorrow’s Women release a new timetable every month with a full list of courses. Although some courses run every month, they can vary and some only run occasionally. Please check out timetables for full details of our courses.
If you wish to be added to our mailing list to receive our timetables each month please email katechadwick@tomorrowswomen.org.uk indicating which centre’s timetable you’d like to receive.
EXERCISE

There are many benefits of yoga including improved posture, increased flexibility, reduced stress and increased mindfulness.
The lovely Grace, a qualified yoga instructor leads a calming yoga class which where you will be guided through a series of moves which can be adapted according to suit your comfort and ability making this class perfect for anyone. The class is held in our hall and you will be provided with a yoga mat so all you need to do after booking, is turn up and enjoy the zen.
This class is dependent on our timetable and must be booked so look out for it on this month’s timetable.

Belly dancing led by Cecile is lots of fun and suitable for all abilities and experiences so anyone can join in and enjoy! Held in our hall, you will be given a fun scarf and guided through the different moves accompanied by great music.
No need to book for this activity, come along every Tuesday at 10AM.

Getting outside is great for your mental health, and so is having a good chat. Join us for our weekly walk & talk where we meet in the community room for a slow paced walk around Birkenhead Park.
All abilities are welcome to join us and you can go at your own pace, just remember to wear comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing.
You do not need to book onto this activity, simply meet in the community room Thursdays at 10AM
Creative

Whether you are a keen sewer or are wanting to learn a new skill, A Stitch In Time is perfect for you. Our lovely volunteer Mary has a wealth of experience in all things sewing and stitching, and is keen to share her knowledge.
Bring along your own projects to do them in the comfort of this friendly small group, or start a new project with the support of Mary.
No need to book for this activity, just come along Wednesdays 10AM-12PM.

Music can provide us with so many benefits including improved mood or increased wellbeing. Music is also better when enjoyed together.
Jam session is led by our Empowerment Advisor Emma and welcomes anyone who plays an instrument, loves singing or simply enjoys music to come together and jam. The session is fun and completely guided by the group, so feel free to bring your own instrument and song suggestions.
No need to book for this activity, simply join us in the community room every Thursday 1:30-2:30PM.

Our creative group is a fun way to spend your Friday afternoon and welcomes singers, actors and performers of all abilities and experiences. Whether you are a seasoned actress or just wanting to do something different, creative group is perfect for you.
Held in our hall after our lunch club, we enjoy a sing-song on karaoke or work on a fun performance for one of our Tomorrow’s Women events.
There’s no need to book for this activity, simply come along Fridays 1:30-2:30PM.

Reading can have many benefits from allowing you to learn about new things, to helping you to fill out paperwork.
Our reading group is a small group of women who enjoy reading who come together to share a story. It welcomes women of all reading abilities and delves into a variety of engaging stories.
No need to book for this activity, come along Wednesdays 1 - 2PM.

Gardening can provide you with a variety of benefits including improved mood, increased exercise, as well as learning a new skill and experiencing the joy of growing something new.
Our community gardening is ideal for anyone, ranging from experienced gardeners to complete novices, and you can get involved in making our award-winning garden even more beautiful for everyone to enjoy.
No need to book for this activity, simply come along Mondays, Wednesday & Fridays from 9:30AM.
Alcohol & substance support

Wirral Ways, a drug and alcohol support service come in to lead this supportive and non-judgmental group.
Whether you are in recovery or wanting to reduce your consumption, this confidential group can provide guidance and support. There is no shame in admitting that you are struggling, and this group can provide a safe space to make changes.
No need to book, come along every Wednesday 10:30-11:30AM.

This supportive, confidential and non-judgmental group is ran by the lovely Adele and welcomes a small group of women in recovery, or who are trying to get sober. If you are experiencing drug or alcohol issues, this group will allow you to chat about your experiences and help you gain the tools you need for getting and staying sober.
No need to book, simply come along every Monday 10:30-11:30AM.

Better Solutions is a recurring 3 week programme focusing on Thinking Behaviour, Consequences, and Problem Solving. You may have been referred by Merseyside Police to do this course, or you wish to make positive lifestyle changes yourself, this course provides skills you can use in everyday life.
As it is a recurring course, you can join on any session and attend as and when until you have completed all 3.
Come along Tuesdays 5:30pm - 6:30pm.

Pregnancy can be a scary time, especially for those struggling with substance misuse issues.
Our substance use midwife is both understanding and non-judgmental, and can provide advice and support throughout your pregnancy.
The midwife does a drop in at the centre once a month so check out our timetable for the date she is next in and come along.
ADVICE & Support

We have a range of solicitors offering free legal advice sessions within the safety of the centre.
Solicitors can offer legal advice surrounding issues including family law, domestic abuse, financial issues, divorce, and care proceedings.
The solicitors are from a range of law firms (see timetable for more details) and will be able to advise whether you would be eligible for legal aid.
Solicitor appointments must be booked, please see timetable for times and booking information.

Households Into Work are a scheme funded by Liverpool City Region and goes further than supporting people into employment by identifying and helping you overcome barriers such as debt, redundancy and addiction.
Households Into Work are in the community room Mondays 11AM-1PM, and there’s no need to book, just come along for a chat.

Beckie from Merseyside Police does a monthly drop in during our lunch club where she can give advice, support and take statements surrounding any police matter.
Beckie is approachable and non-judgmental, and is passionate about being a safe space for women to confide in.

Community Connectors are part of Involve Northwest’s “Connect Us” scheme who are focused on positive wellbeing interventions.
Community Connectors can serve as that missing link for you to access the things you need in order for you to move forward and look to achieve your aspirations.

Finding Me is our 6 week domestic abuse course for victims and survivors of domestic abuse that explores health and unhealthy traits and behaviours within relationships as well as identifying areas of abuse.
This course is ran by one of our Empowerment Advisors and offers a safe, comfortable environment in which support is gained from peers; an invaluable step to recovery, ensuring nobody feels alone.

Happy Healthy Homes is our 5 week course led by one of our Empowerment Advisors that will teach you the skills to draw upon to build your resilience as a parent/carer, but most importantly your children's.
Within a relaxed, safe environment free of judgement, women will receive advice, support and encouragement from other women who are all striving for the best outcomes for themselves and their families.
The course helps to understand: young people's mental health, what makes us thrive as parents, advice to develop much needed family resilience, own feelings and skills to support children and young people.

My Child & Me is a unique course targeting women who are experiencing abuse from their children.
This 5 week course is led by one of our Empowerment Advisors and aims to break down the shame, embarrassment & guilt often felt by mother's experiencing child-on-parent abuse, by explaining why their child may be behaving as they are, exploring the role of the parent and the 2 way relationship, how mirroring behaviour and former witnessed abuse may have affect, and how to manage both their and their child's emotions, anger and behaviour.

Money

Money and Me is a 3 week budgeting course led by one of our Empowerment Advisors for any woman wanting to better manage their finances, and specifically those who may be turning to loans, are receiving Universal Credit, & often finding themselves in financial hardship.
Money and Me covers the dangerous realities of quick fix loans, the effects of gambling and importantly offers practical support on how to budget better with money saving tips, shop price comparisons, and prospects to make the most of budgeting.

Are you struggling with debt or money managed?
Christians Against Poverty offer a monthly drop in where they can offer advice and support surrounding debt and money management, and come up with a suitable plan that is manageable for you.

Wellbeing

Wellbeing & Me is a 4 week course led by one of our Empowerment Advisors which addresses mental health, helping you to understand the effects that stress can have on us.
We look at the impact of stress, anxiety, depression and emotional wellbeing on our bodies, physically and emotionally, and work through situations that may act as personal triggers, and importantly coping strategies to manage those.

Red to Pink is a 4 week anger management course delivered by one of our Empowerment Advisors.
The course revolves around learning the skills to express anger appropriately. It works through the process of learning to recognise signs of anger building within yourself, and consciously choosing to take actions and steps to productively handle any situation at hand and the process of calming.

NHS Wirral Talking Therapies is a free and confidential service, available to anyone who is aged 16+ and registered with a GP in the Wirral.
If you are struggling with anxiety and depression, and feel as though you would benefit from talking therapies, come along to their monthly drop-in where they can fill out an assessment.
